EcoSmart

We understand that every business has an environmental impact, so we're doing our best to reduce ours. By purchasing more than two million kilowatt hours of renewable energy credits annually, we can help reduce dependence on fossil fuels and, more importantly, create more of that sweet, sweet clean air. In addition to our own energy saving efforts, we offer special rates and fi nancing for ecofriendly building and purchases. Our EcoSmart program has loaned over 14 million dollars to people just like you for eco-friendly projects and purchases. 	LANB has partnered with Renewable Choice Energy to offset 100% of the electricity used in all our offices.
Our support and actions bear the symbol EcoSmart. It's our expression that shows that environmentally responsible actions build economic vitality and this is what EcoSmart is all about. LANB has set aside $50 million for EcoSmart land and home loans. These loans will offer significantly lower costs to builders and developers that embrace the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) concepts and standards. We have also set aside another $10 million in consumer loan funds with lower borrowing costs for the purchase and installation of energy saving automobiles, appliances, fixtures, and equipment.
