Unfortunately on Monday July 6th, a hail storm damaged a large amount of property in Los Alamos.

Currently, insurance adjusters are appraising vehicles and property for damage and issuing checks for repair. Cashing of these checks may be subject to limitations if damaged property is collateral for a loan. Bring any checks issued jointly to Los Alamos National Bank and you the customer, to the LANB loan department for a brief review processes that the bank must follow to ensure collateral continues to provide adequate support for the loan. This process is to ensure that both you and your loan are protected. We will do our best to work with you to make these funds available so you can make the necessary repairs to your property.
