LANB Chairman and CEO Bill Enloe Receives Distinguished Leadership Award
Bill Enloe, Chairman and CEO of Los Alamos National Bank (LANB), was honored with the
2007 Distinguished Leadership Award from Leadership New Mexico.
Enloe began his career at LANB in 1971 as a Management Trainee, and has held other
positions including loan officer, cashier, vice president, president and now chairman
and CEO. In addition, he has also served as President of Trinity Capital Corporation
since 1979, Chairman and CEO of Title Guaranty since 2000 and chairman of TCC Appraisal
Services since its creation in 2006.
Enloe is also committed to many New Mexico non-profit organizations and economic
development efforts. He is on the board of Los Alamos Economic Development Land Use
Committee, the Los Alamos Economic Development Corporation and the New Mexico Economic
Development Partnership. Additionally, Enloe serves as a member of the Boards of
Directors of the Santa Fe Institute, the Delle Foundation, the State Private Equity
Investment Advisory Committee, the San Ildefonso Pueblo Economic Development Corporation,
Los Alamos Technical Associates, Inc., MIOX Corporation and the Industrial Business
Development Advisory Board. He is also a managing member of KKSE, LLC.
Enloe has been honored with other awards including the Small Business Administration's
Financial Advocate of the Year on the state, regional and national levels; New Mexico
Distinguished Public Service Award; Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year;
Los Alamos Realtors Citizen of the Year and Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce Member of the
Year.
Under his leadership, LANB has also received prestigious honors including the New Mexico
Ethics in Business Award and the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
"It is truly an honor to receive this award," said Enloe. "It has been through the
combined mentorship of the board of directors of Trinity Capital Corporation and the
collaboration with other organizations dedicated to promoting positive leadership that
I, along with Los Alamos National Bank, have been able to make a positive impact on the
communities of Northern New Mexico."
The Distinguished Leadership award was established in 2003 to recognize individuals who
have used his or her leadership abilities to improve the quality of life for New Mexico
citizens and future generations. The award:
- Recognizes and promotes community involvement and provides incentives for the continued application of leadership skills.
- Recognizes an individual who has used his or her leadership skills, knowledge and resources to benefit the New Mexico community.
- Serves as an example of leadership for others.
- Elevates awareness of the benefits dynamic leadership brings to the community and state.
Award nominees must demonstrate exceptional leadership in professional or civic activities
that has resulted in a significant impact on the economy and quality of life at the local or
state level in New Mexico. The recipient must also have demonstrated dynamic leadership skills
in multiple settings and have achieved extraordinary success in the goals he or she has set out
to accomplish.
